Making keto simple, practical and sustainable
KetoLeanHub exists for one reason: to cut through the noise and give you clear, science-backed guidance you can actually stick to.
Our story
We started as an independent editorial project, tired of the confusing and conflicting keto advice online. So we did the work ourselves — reading the studies, cooking the recipes and rewriting what we learned in plain English.
Today the site is a small, deliberately focused library: a handful of free calculators, practical guides, and recipes built around one idea — fewer promises, more useful detail you can act on in your own kitchen.

How we create and review our content
The internet is full of keto advice, and much of it is conflicting, outdated, or designed to sell you something. We take a different approach. Every article goes through a multi-step process before it reaches you, so you can trust what you read here.
- 1
Research first
Our writers start with peer-reviewed studies, clinical guidelines, and expert consensus — not anecdotes or trending fads.
- 2
Source checking
We link the studies, guidelines and public health sources behind our claims, and we avoid nutrition figures that cannot be traced to a stated portion.
- 3
Plain-English editing
We translate technical research into simple, actionable steps, removing the jargon without dumbing down the science.
- 4
Ongoing updates
Guidelines change, and so do we. Our content is regularly revisited to reflect the latest evidence.
How this site is put together
KetoLeanHub is run by a small editorial team, not a clinic. We do not claim every page has been reviewed by a doctor or dietitian, because it has not been. What we do promise is care: we say where our information comes from, we show the arithmetic inside our calculators, and we correct pages when we get something wrong.
Editorial desk
Writing and research
Reads the primary studies and public health guidance, then writes the plain-English version with references you can check.
Tools team
Calculators
Builds and tests the net carb, lookup, swap and planner tools — including the units, rounding and edge cases.
Corrections
Updates and fixes
Revisits pages when guidance changes and publishes a real modification date instead of a placeholder.
How we stay honest with you
Keto content online is a crowded, noisy place, and a lot of it exists primarily to sell a supplement, a course, or a miracle claim. We took a deliberate position against that model. Our guides are written to be useful to you whether or not you ever buy anything, and nothing on this site is designed to pressure you into a purchase.
That means we tell you when the evidence is strong and when it is thin. Where research on keto is genuinely mixed — long-term sustainability, LDL cholesterol responses, athletic performance during adaptation — we say so rather than smoothing it into a tidy promise. We would rather you trust us on the parts that are certain because we were honest about the parts that are not.
Sources shown
Major guides cite the studies and institutions behind them, with links you can check yourself.
Clear attribution
Guides are published under our editorial team name, with the sources they draw on listed on the page.
Kept current
Guides are revisited as the research evolves, not written once and abandoned.
What we will never do
It is easy to list good intentions. These are the specific lines we hold ourselves to, and the things you will never see on KetoLeanHub.
No miracle claims
Keto is not magic, and we never present it as a cure or a shortcut. If something sounds too good to be true, we will tell you.
No unrealistic promises
You will not read that you can lose 30 pounds in a month. We give you honest timelines and honest caveats.
No fear-based advice
We do not scare you into eating a certain way. Keto is one option among several, and we respect that it is not right for everyone.
No unvetted medical guidance
We describe what the research shows, and we direct anyone with a medical condition to their own clinician.
No hidden agendas
If a page contains an affiliate link or a recommendation, it is disclosed clearly and never changes what we actually advise.
No one-size-fits-all plans
Keto looks different for a busy parent, an endurance athlete, and someone managing diabetes. We tailor our guidance accordingly.
Why we started, and what we learned along the way
KetoLeanHub began with a frustration that almost everyone who tries the ketogenic diet eventually shares. There is no shortage of information about keto online, but there is a serious shortage of information you can trust. Search for a basic question — how many carbs can I eat, is fruit allowed, why has my weight loss stalled — and you are buried under contradictory answers, aggressive supplement pitches, and miracle claims that fall apart under any scrutiny. We wanted a place where the answers were calm, honest, and actually useful.
So we built one. We read the studies, talked to practicing dietitians, cooked and tested the recipes ourselves, and made a deliberate decision to write for real people with real kitchens and real schedules rather than for search engines or advertisers. That last part turned out to be the most important choice we made. When you are not trying to sell a product, you can tell people the truth about what is uncertain, what is hard, and what might not be right for them.
The result is a library that has grown far beyond what we imagined. What has surprised us most is that the most popular guides are not the ones promising the fastest results. They are the ones that simply set expectations honestly — that the first two weeks can be rough, that weight loss slows down, that maintenance is a skill you build rather than a finish line you cross. Honesty, it turns out, is what people are actually looking for.
We are still guided by the same principle we started with: if we would not want our own family following a piece of advice, it does not belong on this site. That single filter has shaped every article you will find here, and it is the reason we would rather publish a careful, useful guide once a week than a hundred empty ones a day.
